An archaeological mystery

After years of remaining hidden, a mysterious crate has emerged. Research by conservators has indicated the crate was once sealed by the obscure archaeologist R.C. Reuvers. The archaeologist's family has been notified and has decided to make the contents of the crate available to the public for a limited time only.

What mysteries has Reuvers locked in the crate? What research was she conducting? Who dares tread in the archaeologist's footprints and dig through the layers of our history?

What is Museum Escape?

Only 45 minutes to solve an age-old mystery. Who dares take on the challenge? Museum Escape is a unique pop-up Escape Room, where participants are challenged to solve a number of puzzles, decode riddles and collect clues. The goal is to work together, think like archaeologists and unravel the mystery!

There are currently hundreds of Escape Rooms and Real Life Games in the Netherlands, but Museum Escape is unique. We work very closely with all the museums we visit. You will see right away that the story of Museum Escape is inextricably linked to archaeological history of Holland.

From the Roman Limes to the Counts of Holland

The archaeological history of Zuid-Holland is incredibly rich. For thousands of years people have lived in the region, all leaving their traces in the soil. Museum Escape allows you to get very close to history, retelling age-old stories in the process. On the northern border of the Roman Empire, where centuries later the counts of Holland make their mark, and the eternal battle against water is still being waged, that is where our story begins.

Pop-up Escape experience

Museum Escape travels through the lands, visiting several museums. That is why we have a strict planning for which town houses Museum Escape on which date. Look carefully when booking where you are booking!
